We bring the whole studio to your School with all the very latest technology for students to enjoy. Our Tutors are trained in MC’ing and Lyric writing and hold Music Production qualifications. They have mobile studios which will be set up in your school for a Music Production workshop. There is enough equipment for a class of 10 but we can also accommodate for larger classes of 25 for taster workshops. We have devised a lesson plan in which it is easy for the students to understand. The students work with the music that they have chosen themselves. Students learn all about programming, arranging and mixing music. They are always very proud of what they have achieved and they are able to take their tracks home all tutors have an enhanced CRB and full public liability insurance of £10,000,000.
Workshop detail
We have a full mobile electronic music production and multitrack recording set up. This is run though apple computers and all recording is processed through an audio interface into Logic pro. The group will be using automated desks to mix and edit music. We have a range of condenser and dynamic mics for recording multiple sources. Production of music will be sequenced in Logic. The group will be using control surfaces and midi controllers to create the notation, automation and drum mapping.
The students using the equipment provided the will be able to compose, mix and master music to a professional standard. We can also cater for singers and mc’s in the workshops. We can go through techniques needed for recording voices and also how to structure lyrics to complement the music.

These workshops cater for all ages and abilities and are great fun !
MC’ing / Rapping (mic work) and Singing
Alex is able to work with young people who sing and MC. He is a trained Lyric writer and can help the young people to write the song to work with track. We find that theses workshops help with Literacy as the young people are writing poetry. We find that some young people have given us an insight in to their lives and problems they face with in the lyrics they have written. We have found school to be able to help these young people after getting an understanding through their lyrics and the young people being able to express them in an easier way. We have used this in school projects to really get the message across and to make it easier for young people to understand and to remember key facts. Singing and MC’ing can give students with low self esteem confidence in what they can achieve easily.
We use a Rode NT-1A with a reflection filter which is the world’s quietest condenser microphone this ensures the highest quality sound recoding.
Projects
Alex has been to Uganda twice with the Christian Charity Organisation GMI. The aim for this project was to teach the community music skills and supply them with equipment they needed to progress with their training. The people involved on the project have now found jobs that supply sound systems all over the country.
